This lidded bowl is crafted through traditional wood-firing techniques without applying glaze or using protective saggars. Fired at 1300°C for over 72 hours in a pine-wood kiln, it develops natural ash deposits and flame marks that vary with kiln placement and temperature.

The porous clay body allows gradual tea absorption during use. Over time, repeated brewing darkens the interior surface, creating a natural tea patina. Tea oils and minerals accumulate within the clay's micro-pores, resulting in subtle color shifts and surface sheen.

Designed based on classic Song Dynasty lidded bowl proportions, it features a flared rim for comfortable handling and a raised knob for heat dissipation. Suitable for brewing Wuyi rock tea, aged pu-erh, and other teas that benefit from clay's breathability.
