This Jiangpo Clay teapot is semi-handmade by a folk artisan and is fired at a kiln temperature of 1180 degrees Celsius. It is particularly well-suited for brewing light-roasted Oolong tea, medium or heavy-roasted Tieguanyin tea, and various types of Puerh tea.

Jiangpo Clayis a type of raw material from Yixing, which is known as the hometown of Zisha teapots. Jiangpo Clay was discovered when a road was being built in Dingshu Town. This clay has a uniform and delicate texture, and after firing, it produces a fine, oily body with a granular feel.

"Jiangpo Clay" was accidentally discovered in the early 1990s when the Yixing government was constructing a road from Dingshan to Yixing. It is a symbiotic ore of Duan clay, Red clay, and Purple clay. After firing, it has an orange-red base color with colorful speckles. The discovery of Jiangpo Clay was purely accidental, and after the road was completed, the mine was buried underground, making Jiangpo Clay relatively rare. When refined, Jiangpo Clay exhibits an aged appearance with an orange-red hue tinged with yellow. The look after firing evokes a sense of ancient nostalgia, and after being used for brewing tea, it develops an even more aged character, reminiscent of the finest clays from the Ming and Qing dynasties. The clay was named "Jiangpo Clay" because the original mine was located at Shuanglong Jiangpo.
