The spout and body of this teapot differ slightly in size from those of a Han-style teapot. The teapot has a wider base and narrower top, resembling the stone bases used to support wooden columns in ancient architecture, which is where its name originates.
It is made from Yixing raw ore yellow Duan clay using a semi-handmade process, giving its surface a textured, grainy feel. Although the teapot is relatively small, with a capacity of 150ml, it is still a highly collectible piece.
