Clay and handmade character

The unglazed clay can develop a patina with regular use. Slight variations in shape, surface texture and color are part of the handmade character. Natural mineral flecks or dark spots may be visible in the clay.

Brewing and care

Suggested teas include black tea, Tieguanyin and Dong Ding (Frozen Summit) oolong.

• Dedicate the teapot to one type of tea as the porous clay seasons with use.
• Rinse with warm water after each session; avoid soap.
• Allow it to dry thoroughly and store in a dry, ventilated place away from direct sunlight.
