This "Old Bush Eight Immortals" (Laocong Baxian) variety is harvested from century-old tea trees grown at high elevations, where mineral-rich soil and misty conditions create leaves of exceptional aroma and complexity. The 2025 spring harvest captures this tea at its peak vitality.

The name "Eight Immortals" originates from a fascinating historical episode: cuttings were taken from a single mother tree in Yahou Village and transplanted to Wudong Village. Of these, only eight precious seedlings survived and thrived. These eight tea plants, each developing its own distinctive character while sharing a common heritage, were named after the legendary Eight Immortals of Chinese mythology—each immortal representing a unique aspect of nature's power and grace. This tea continues to be produced from descendants of those original eight plants.

The dry leaves appear dark green with reddish edges, tightly rolled and substantial in hand—hallmarks of old bush material. When brewed, it yields a golden-amber liquor with brilliant clarity. The aroma is intensely floral yet refined, presenting layered notes of orchid, citrus blossom, and honey with a subtle underlying minerality. The palate is richly textured with a perfect balance of floral sweetness and refreshing briskness, culminating in a long, sweet aftertaste that evolves with each infusion.
