Da Hong Pao (Big Red Robe), the most celebrated of all Wuyi Rock Teas, originates from the mineral-rich cliffs of Fujian's Wuyi Mountains. This 2025 spring harvest captures the tea at its seasonal peak, carefully plucked from tea bushes nurtured in the region's distinctive rocky terrain, where the unique "rock rhyme" (Yan Yun) character is imbued into every leaf.
This legendary tea undergoes traditional processing including precise oxidation and charcoal roasting, developing its signature complex profile. The dry leaves appear dark, tightly twisted with subtle reddish edges. When brewed, it yields a bright amber liquor with a captivating roasted aroma blending orchid, honey, and distinct mineral notes. The palate experiences a robust yet smooth texture, with layers of dark chocolate, stone fruit, and a lingering sweet aftertaste that embodies the essence of authentic Da Hong Pao.
