A koi fish is placed under the glaze inside the cup, and when tea is poured in, it looks as if the fish is playfully swimming in a pond, vivid and lifelike.

The cup's glaze features ice-crack patterns, which are characteristic of the Ge kiln. The cup is flat with a wide mouth, making it a typical Pu'er tea cup.
