As vaporized soda ash circulated through the white-hot kiln chamber, it reacted with natural wood embers to coat the raw clay in a glossy, textured glaze landscape with vibrant mineral color bleeds.
Shaped with an exceptionally stable, low-profile wide belly and a softly flared rim, the vessel feels substantial and grounded on the tea mat. Its surface reveals a rich, abstract painterly glaze: swirling pools of turquoise green, copper splash red, and warm straw yellow blend seamlessly into deep ash-grey undertones. The flared rim and hollow-ring lid knob stay cool to the touch, providing a confident, ergonomic grip during high-temperature steeps.
