The Glaze: Ink-Wash Alchemy

Flying pine ash settles upon the surfaces at 1300°C, melting into a spontaneous kiln-transformed glaze in nuanced shades of grey and charcoal black. The effect recalls classical Chinese ink painting—misty mountains, drifting clouds, the accidental poetry of diluted ink on rice paper. Across this monochrome landscape, a delicate network of fine crackles spreads like frozen streams, their subtle geometry catching light with each movement of tea.
