Handcrafted from luminous Yixing Zhuni (vermilion) clay, this hexagonal teapot harmonizes classical literati elegance with sacred symbolism. One side is carved with an ancient pine tree—a symbol of longevity and resilience—while the opposite bears the poetic couplet: Brewing tea with pine wind, discussing poetry in bamboo rain."
The handle is sculpted into the form of the Vermilion Bird (Zhu Que), a celestial guardian in Chinese mythology, providing both symbolic protection and a graceful, ergonomic grip. The spout takes the shape of the Qilin, a benevolent mythical beast known for bringing auspicious energy, ensuring a smooth and balanced pour.
Beneath, a stable hexagonal base grounds the design in geometric harmony, while 13 precision-drilled holes inside the spout create a smooth, uninterrupted flow—ideal for oolong or rock tea.
