Yunan Jianshui Purple Clay Covered Bowl(Gaiwan) Purely Handmade Teacup

Jianshui clay is sourced from the local Five Color Mountain. It has a high iron content, resulting in high hardness and strength of the finished product. The surface has a metallic texture, and when tapped, it produces a sound similar to metal or stone. After fine polishing without glaze, it has a delicate texture.

This Gaiwan is made entirely by hand, from the initial shaping, drawing, and carving to the final fine finishing, followed by high-temperature firing and polishing.

Unlike other covered bowls, this design features filter holes that effectively separate the tea from the leaves, making brewing Kung Fu tea easier and more straightforward.
