This teacup embodies two precious intangible-cultural-heritage crafts, a collaborative masterpiece from two renowned craft regions in China: the celadon body is fired in Longquan, Zhejiang, while the fine bamboo weaving is handcrafted in Chengdu, Sichuan.
Longquan celadon is historically divided into Ge-Yao (Ge Kiln) and Di-Yao (Di Kiln). This cup adopts classic Ge Kiln firing technique, featuring iconic plum-green glaze with natural crackle ice-crack textures across the surface, the signature aesthetic of Ge Kiln ware.
The outer bamboo sleeve is meticulously hand-woven by folk Sichuan artisans. Exquisite craftsmanship allows ultra-fine bamboo filaments to tightly wrap and fit the ceramic body, showcasing the timeless charm of traditional Chinese handicrafts.
Heat-Treated Bamboo for Mildew Resistance — The bamboo filaments go through high-temperature treatment to resist mildew. Clean with fresh water only. Do NOT scald the woven bamboo section with boiling hot water.
